Burger frenzy has taken off in the Mid-Valley accompanying the official announcement of In-N-Out Burger's Keizer Station opening day. Downtown Salem burger destinations are getting in on the excitement. They're offering specials on burgers you'll be able to get without waiting for hours in a drive-through lane.

Bo & Vine Burger Bar Fast Pass
Inspired by Disney's FastPass, which allow guests to skip the line at park attractions, Bo & Vine Burger Bar is offering guests a chance to skip the line at In-N-Out. Mention the "Fast Pass" deal to get a small order of fries for free with the purchase of any burger all day on Thursday, December 12.

BOGO at Noble Wave
Louisiana-inspired bar and soon-to-be brewery Noble Wave is offering buy one-get one (BOGO) deals and double burgers for the price of a single one all day on on Thursday, December 12. Buy a single cheeseburger or a double cheeseburger (fries included) and get a second one for free. Alternatively, get a double cheeseburger for the price of a single one.

Smash Burger at Epilogue
Brinner, a portmanteau of breakfast and dinner, is the latest special offering from Epilogue Kitchen & Cocktails (home of SINday, an all-day happy hour every Sunday). Available every Wednesday through Saturday from 9 p.m. until they close, Epilogue's Brinner is the restaurant's menu of late night breakfast for dinner options. It's the only time of day they offer their Smash Burger ($10) a slim patty of ground chuck topped with melty American cheese, tomato, onion, bread and butter pickles and arugula on a house-made milk bread bun. In the event that you've had enough by way of burgers by evening, the Brinner menu also includes breakfast cereal French toast, pineapple bread pudding and fried chicken and waffles.

The Here Not There at Layback Food Shack
The Layback Food Shack is a brand new food truck from Bine Valley Brewing owner Jim Weinman and Tsunami Taproom owner Jason Puttkammer. Their December 12 special is basically a dupe of an In-N-Out burger called The Here Not There. It's two quarter-pound patties of SP Provisions beef with cheddar, fry sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion. In place of animal style fries their Savage Fries are topped with shredded colby jack, fry sauce and grilled onions. Get the burger for $8.25 and savage fries for $4 or both as a combo for $10.50. The special is available only on the twelfth from 2 until 9:30 p.m..

The Cougar Burger at Angel's Share Barrel House
Down in Turner Angel's Share Barrel House is offering something called the Cougar Burger for one day only on Thursday, December 12. The Cougar is topped with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, cheddar and thousand island dressing. It's $7 all day, but from 7 until 9 p.m. during Trivia Night the Cougar and a pint of beer are $10.
