Gangster Vegan Organics

Known for its array of vegan choices and healthy foods—think smoothies, salads and bowls bursting with natural ingredients—Gangster Vegan Organics dishes up two next-level meat-free burgers. The ODB features a dehydrated broccoli burger topped with red onion, tomato, carrots, pickled cabbage, kale and sunflower seed “cheese” sandwiched between dehydrated onion bread. Or nosh on the Swizz Beets burger, made of a dehydrated beet burger. Afterwards, treat yourself to a slice of vegan cheesecake.

Various locations.

The Greyhound Café

A perennial favorite among local vegans and vegetarians, Malvern’s Greyhound Café serves nothing but a plant-based menu. Dig into the impossible burger, a six-ounce patty with the works—lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and chipotle mayonnaise. You won’t even know it’s not beef. The impossible burger also comes as sliders if you want to share—but trust us, you won’t.

81 Lancaster Ave., Malvern.

HipCityVeg

Founded by Elkins Park native Nicole Marquis, HipCityVeg serves exclusively vegan ingredients, but you’d be hard pressed to tell. The restaurant offers six burgers, from a traditional option made with tempeh to a curry tofu wrap to ones made with portabella mushrooms. A can’t miss, though, is the Philly Steak, topped with onion, ketchup and cheese.

76 Coulter Ave., Ardmore; 232 N. Radnor Chester Road, Radnor.

Sedona Taphouse

Looking for a traditional cheeseburger, minus the meat? Sedona Taphouse dishes up a plant-based patty with all the traditional fixings. There are a number of vegan-friendly options elsewhere on the menu, too, like a hummus platter, salad and pasta dish. Read our review of Sedona Taphouse here.

131 Bridge St., Phoenixville.

True Food Kitchen

Focused on healthy options, True Food Kitchen doesn’t skimp on flavor. The King of Prussia outpost offers two vegan burgers—the cheekily named Unbeetable Burger and the T.L.T. The former, as the name suggests, is a beet burger topped with jicama slaw, avocado, lettuce, kuzu and vegan mayo, sandwiched between a flaxseed bun. Or try the T.L.T., made with tempeh.

239 Mall Blvd., King of Prussia.
