Why choose between breakfast and lunch when you can have both — at the same time? Whataburger has answered the call with a Breakfast Burger that debuted in September 2019. Though intended as a limited time offering, the sandwich’s popularity inspired the company to extend its availability.
“Our fans really enjoyed not having to make what can be a difficult decision – having to decide between breakfast or burgers for their morning or late-night cravings,” said Whataburger Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Rich Scheffler. “Whether they’re in the mood for breakfast or a burger, fans can enjoy this hearty creation for just a little bit longer.”
The specialty sandwich highlights just about everything that reflects the late-night munchies or a hearty breakfast. It features a beef patty, American cheese, freshly cracked egg, two slices of bacon and three hash brown sticks all topped with creamy pepper sauce. The creamy pepper sauce, which originated on the Patty Melt, is also available separately as a dipping sauce.
The Breakfast Burger costs for $3.99 alone or $5.99 as a meal that includes additional hash brown sticks and coffee. It is available from 11:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. Prices may vary by location.
